Yes, that's right! Another Ame-comi to look at! It's going to be the last in my collection, so I'm not 100% sure if I'm saving the best for last. But without further ado, let's review Selina Kyle's ame-comi version, shall we?

As always, I do appreciate the box for this figurine. It shows off the prototype quite nicely, and it allows for the collector to see the actual figure inside.

Mrrreooow!
Mrrreooow!

There's not much you can do to change Catwoman's vibe. She is sassy, sultry, and downright tempting. In most media where Selina Kyle made herself known, she's usually got that vibe that stops the goons from picking up their gun because they're curious about her. For her Ame-Comi version, not only does she have the pose and confidence, she's also got an outfit that allows for more skin exposure. Always a good thing. And as far as this statue goes, Catwoman is herself when given an anime twist! She's not too far away from her current look, and to be completely honest, this version of Catwoman is pretty close to a lot of Selina's variant costumes. Not going to complain, though I'm sure it's a bit too service-y for this day and age.

Very lithe figure, that much is certain!

That pose is something else, that's for sure. It's the sexy Catwoman pose while she's flailing her whip about. It's nicely done, albeit a bit more into the sexuality rather than the intimidation, but it is Catwoman. It's what Selina does. The way she's sculpted does well with that kind of posture.

There is some aging in the paint job; as I have mentioned with these Ame-Comi figures, I can spot plenty of things that don't suit my current expectations. While far from afar, the colors are just fine, up close, one can see that they lack the proper finesse, like the detailing and shadowing that make them stand out. And while Selina's costume doesn't have as many intricacies since she's mostly black, her skin tone looks odd, and something about the way it's painted gives her more 'inorganic' look than needed.

My complaints with the coloring get louder when we look at her face. Just looks odd. I appreciate them trying to give Catwoman that highlights in her hair, but it didn't come out as well as they were hoping.

The body is sculpted nicely. As I mentioned, Selina Kyle is a very lithe and nimble-looking person with a very gratuitous costume. I do love the straps going all around and her whip swirling her.

Appreciate the little details that they tried to give with this statue.

Yeah, that's a good view, right? For all you perverts! Again, some good sculpting was done, especially between Selina's body and her clothing. I love the body frame and her shoulder details. So, not bad, got some work put into her, for sure.

Gotham City Sirens, perhaps? These three are a mixed bunch; I like all of their redesigns, but some of the older styles of sculpting and painting do these gals injustice (gods among us?). But they do look good together, don't they?

Not a bad figurine. It suffers from the same thing as all Ame-Comi figurines: they just didn't age well. But these are a footnote in my collecting hobby and I can recommend certain ones for the right price. Catwoman? I'd say she is an easy pass. But for any hardcore Catwoman fans, she's something they should consider. It's a good enough sculpt, nice pose, the paint is a bit archaic, but all in all, she's a good snag. Find her for a decent price, and I'd say you got a win.

Until Next Time!
