D23 2026: Frozen III

Okay! So this weekend, Frozen 3 was officially announced at D23! We got new outfits, concept art, possible story details… and a true villain reveal? Yes!

The last time we heard anything substantial about Frozen 3 was at D23 2024, and even then it was mostly just “we’re working hard on it.” This year, though, they actually delivered.

We got a full-blown teaser trailer (even if it hasn’t been officially released to the public yet) and a sneak peek at one of Elsa’s new outfits. This time… she’s wearing pink?

That's going to be a POP for sure

Yes — full-on floral pink! Elsa has worn a lot of colors over the years: classic blue, darker blues, green with a hint of pink, lavender, and that darker burgundy-and-black look from her coronation outfit. Seeing her in bright pink is new. This probably isn’t her main adventure outfit (we also saw a more practical “travel” look), so I’m treating this pink dress like her seasonal/formal outfit — similar to the autumn dress in the second movie. And Anna is getting married, so of course she’s in white.

For the first time in forever, it looks like we’re finally getting a real yang to Elsa’s yin: an evil Ice Queen who could be her equal (or maybe even stronger). That idea has been floating around since the very beginning of the franchise, and I’m genuinely interested to see where they take it. Could she be an alternate-version Elsa? A completely new character? Either way, it has my attention.

Big thanks to everyone sharing the news — my excitement for this third installment is at an all-time high. A solid-looking trailer, a proper villain, more merchandise on the horizon, and (hopefully) more addictive songs? Yeah… I’m keeping a close eye on this one.
