Yep! It's that very rare kind of post! Time to talk about DuDs! Disney themed DuDs! So let's just jump into it!
So during my 2019 Disneyland trip, I gave in to my other collecting(and expensive) hobby and purchased a pair of sunglasses. Not just any sunglasses or any other Ray-Ban sunglasses either--it's a Disney special edition!
And what is a Disney special collection without the main cast of The House of Mouse: Mickey Mouse (of course), Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donal Duck, and Pluto? Somehow I think Daisy was robbed, but hey, that's just me. The characters are artistically placed within the small confines of the earpiece of the sunglasses--colorful and using every bit of signature pieces of the mascots.
Now I'm not going to sit here and claim I know everything there is to know about owning sunglasses other than their basic functions and what makes them look good, so the info on the inside the ear pieces are pretty much all foreign to me. Sure there are the normal things that would be etched on it like SKU #, color code, where it's made, and the company's logo, but there are other things I am not one hundred percent sure on. But they are there.
The other side is exactly the same and it's a good thing. Once again, the way the characters and the color schemes are put together is something I can appreciate.
It's a good looking piece of sunglasses, that's for sure. Now it just doesn't look good, it actually does a fine job protecting my eyes from the brightness. The polarized lens is perfect so I don't feel like I'm about to crash with every turn because of the sun. I'd recommend this in a heartbeat for anyone who is a Disney lover--though it's exclusiveness might make it hard to grab!
Now let's talk about this graphic-T! Wouldn't you know, it's an Elsa! ABSOLUTECULT is a website I wouldn't have stumbled upon had it not been for this gift! Judging from their content, I will most likely go back there to see what other Frozen goodies they have. In the mean time, let's take a gander at this Elsa graphic-T.
Firs thing to look at is the fact that it's not the standard Elsa pose. It's actually a pose I have not seen before, at least not in this silhouette form. I also question if this is a Frozen I or a Frozen II Elsa, but the more i Look at the long skirt it's pretty easy to tell that it's her iconic Snow Queen outfit.
Other than the pose being a unique and/or not a very common one, the way the silhouette is done for Elsa is something I haven't seen as much for a shirt. It has some snowflakes within Elsa's form giving a very interesting juxtapose and goes along just great with the rest of the snowflake motifs behind Elsa. Though it's strange that I don't spot Elsa's snowflake insignia as easily--cause, ya know, she does have her own unique emblem. Also, a black shirt is something I will always welcome in my closet.
All in all, it's a good looking shirt. I have yet to wear it but I do like it and I will wear it soon. If anything else, ABSOLUTECULT also has a few selection that will supply my Elsa apparel so there's that.
All in all, a fantastic pair of sunglasses and a shirt that is both #Disney themed? Yeah, I'm all for it! I love the sunglasses though I'm not sure if it's accessible for everyone because of its exclusiveness. As for the shirt, it's a fantastic shirt and if anything else, it led me to a new site where I can collect more! Can't be any more happier!
Until Next Time!
