Funko POP: Jeff the Land Shark (Marvel Rivals)

Jeff the Land Shark!? Marvel, in its nearly 90 years in the business, has introduced a wide array of cute mascots designed to get an “aww” reaction. Jeff isn’t the first—but he’s definitely the most recent fan favorite. A POP of him? Yeah, my special friend wanted Jeff, so I had to get it for her! With that said, let’s jump into the review, shall we?

Believe it or not, he's a bobblehead

I have very little to no idea who—or what—Jeff is, other than the fact that he’s a Land Shark. But hey, it’s the Marvel Universe, so a shark that runs around on land like a small dog isn’t exactly out of place. He’s undeniably a shark, just with four legs instead of fins. As a POP, I’m honestly surprised by how accurate he is to his in-game appearance. The oversized head style Funko is known for doesn’t take away from Jeff’s recognizability at all.

The sculpt work is done with care: the fins, the tail, and that smiling mouth—filled with tiny blade-like teeth and a drooping tongue—are all nicely detailed. He looks genuinely happy, and his running pose really does resemble a small dog mid-sprint. The stand is also quite stable, allowing Jeff to appear midair without issue. At the end of the day, he looks exactly like Jeff the Land Shark, so the sculpting absolutely did its job.

Jeff’s color palette is pretty simple, all things considered. He’s primarily that familiar blue tone with a white underbelly, accented by his stripes and those cute pink paws. He also has his collar with the name tag, which is a nice touch. No real complaints here—Funko nailed its colors and stripe pattern without any issues.

Oh, look at these two! Luna Snow and Jeff the Land Shark don't look like Rivals, do they? One thing is certain: these POPs look awesome!

Such an adorable little POP. For a character like Jeff, he doesn’t need to do much to impress. As long as Funko does its job and captures the details that make the Land Shark recognizable, it’s a win—and this one definitely is. Recommend? That depends on how much you like the character. My special friend loves him, and he’s very well done. No complaints from me.
