Funko POP: Leroy (Lilo & Stitch)

A red version of Stitch?! Yes, there was such an experiment called "Leroy". The 3rd Lilo & Stitch movie was about Leroy going against Stitch and all the other experiments. Took some time until we got a POP of him, but here we are! Let's take a look at this POP, shall we?

This is a very small set. Doubt I'm going to get any of those Angel POPs, but Leroy is a nice little addition.

Stitch's design is iconic. In his 'dog' version, he looks adorable and... could pass for a blue Koala-dog. Stitch does have his 'natural' look, with four arms, an antenna, and all. He still looks adorable, but definitely more alien. That iconic look was used for the Lilo & Stitch TV series, where Stitch and friends hunt down and stop the other experiments--all the experiments look like Stitch in one way or another. So, what do you do when we paint Stitch red? We get Leroy, who is a carbon copy of Stitch! Just more evil and red. I do love how he is sculpted! I love those big ears, that angry expression, and the fact that this piece is super accurate to his animated counterpart. Well, as accurate as can be under the style of Funko POPs!

His pose*** isn't my first pic for Leroy's grand entrance in the POP world. He's just sitting down, with all his out-of-this-world features on full display; it would have been a better look if he were standing with some ferocious stance. Still, the sculpt is good and this just means we might get more Leroy POP, right? Sure hope so!

For a red color palette swap of Stitch, Leroy looks amazing both in his animated form and his POP form! The pose, for what it is, actually fits as a means of looking at Leroy in a moment where he is angry and scheming. Again, it's not my first pic for Leroy's pose for his first POP, but it works.

Oh, fun fact! I guess the POP picked an official art! It looks as good as it can be as a POP!

Hard to imagine my special friend and I don't have a standard Stitch. Isn't that ironic? Also, we haven't decided who really owns Leroy yet. Though he is displayed on her collection area.

He isn't a super important part in the grand scheme of Stitch's existence. But one thing is certain, Leroy is a perfect 'dark side' of the OG Stitch. The color scheme is where it's all at since Leroy's movie appearance wasn't exactly what I'd call the best first appearance. Still, here's his POP and my friend, I love him. I'd recommend him! But waiting to see if they have better poses is something I can say might be worth the wait, as long as this one sells enough to garner more Leroy POPs. We'll see!

Until Next Time!
