Funko POP: Luau Angel

Will never stop accumulating Stitch related POPs! Truth to be told, this one isn't mine, and it's pretty obvious to see who this could belong to, right? Well, let's check out the POP, shall we?

It's a beach-themed POP with Stitch! Makes sense considering that Lilo & Stitch movies/series are based in Hawaii. Not sure if we'll be snagging any more of the POPs on this wave, but they are adorable. Still waiting on other experiments.

The Luau theme fits Angel so much. The outfit and the seemingly Hula dancing Angel is a no brainer since, again, Lilo & Stitch is based in Hawaii. And while it is another way to get a Stitch-related POP out there, I do think this is a good choice, and Funko did their magic, detailing out Angel's outfit. The rest of Angel is what is expected from a company that has made more than enough Stitch-related POPs: accurate to the source material and sculpted quite well. Love her expression, those giant ears, and, of course, Angel comes with her antenna that is her signature trait that sets her apart from 626 (aside from her pink color, of course).

The pose has Angel doing Hula, and as far as I can tell, it looks good enough. Of course, someone native to Hawaii (or an expert on the dance) can tell me I'm wrong. But all in all, it looks good.

The colors and the paint execution on this copy garner any complaints from us. Loving the shade of pink used on her skin. The contrasting other colors, like the flesh pink for her belly, ears, and lips, the pastel purple for her nose, and the darker pink for her claws, are all good complements to the pink skin. The paint job on her crown and skirt completes the look, complete brighter contrasts that makes them stick out.

POP: Stitches (in costume)
Again, my friend and I don't own a 'neutral' Stitch for some reason. Funny. Well, it's Stitch in two costumes while Angel is wearing a Hula outfit. It works.

I have this strange feeling that this Stitch wave was meant to coincide with the live action movie. Honestly, it works out. Got another adorable POP for one of my favorite people, so all in all, it's a good purchase. Can I recommend without the bias? Probably not. I'd say for a standard Angel POP, there are better ones out there, so if a Luau Angel isn't what you're looking for, this one may not be it. But it is well detailed, has good coloring, and it's adorable. Not a bad snag if Stitch and company are what you collect.
Until Next Time!
