It's Clobberin' Time! Yes, it's the Thing! Another POP from the First Steps MCU movie about Marvel's first family. This is my first Thing merch in a LONG time, so I'm genuinely excited to review this guy. With noTHING else to say, let's get to the review, shall we?

Again, loving the design of the box. Fits the vibe of the movie.

Ben Grimm has a really cool design, and he’s worn a wide variety of uniforms and costumes over the years. For the MCU version, he’s in a full-body suit like the rest of the team. Much like his teammates, it features its own unique texturing and designs that fit perfectly with the MCU’s design philosophy.
All of that translates really well into POP form. The layers, textures, and overall look are all nicely sculpted. Ben’s rock-like skin is also filled with great sculpting details, staying accurate to how he appears in both the movie and the comics.
It’s a very impressive piece in terms of the sculpting.

The Thing isn't doing anything too dynamic or extravagant. He's just standing there with an almost taunting stance, one hand clenched in a fist, the other open. It's not going to win action pose of the year or anything, but it is a good pose to show off all the details with this POP. Honestly, no complaint.

The texturing and plastic sculpt on Thing’s outfit adds nice depth to the blue and white colors. There are subtle paint variations on his rock-like skin, face, and hands, which really gives Ben’s rocky appearance a lot of depth. The paint job is clean and sharp overall — another impressive piece of work.

From this close, you can see work done on both the colors and the sculpting. Plenty to love!

These two have fantastic chemistry in the comics. As POPs, the colors really set The Thing and Spider-Man apart like they're not from the same team, but hey, it works.

There’s a lot to praise with this POP — from the sculpt and paint job to the overall accuracy of The Thing. My only real downside is that I’m not a huge Thing fan, but I still wanted him to complete the Fantastic Four team. I’m sure there are plenty of massive Ben Grimm fans out there, and honestly, this wouldn’t be a bad addition to their collection at all.
Until Next Time!
