What in the heck is this? What's going on? I'm going to be completely honest and say that I'm not 100% able to explain this. However, I will say that I bought this out of curiosity and found it to be a quirky addition to my collection. But let's just get to the review so I can try and explain.

Before I even get into the Labubu aspect, the Maschinen Kreiger is a mech-like Japanese property filled with a deep lore, model kits galore, and a whole lot of other things that I can't necessarily go in depth here. Just click the WIKI page for a better explanation than what I can provide.

This is a weird figurine to describe. Labubus are these bunny-like creatures that are a big hit these days with their blind box gimmick--that and the preordering or snagging one is just like pulling teeth. Regardless, this blind box shows a Labubu inside a mech. It's all plastic sculpted, and honestly, it's all done well. The Labubu head that's popping out of the suit of armor is recognizable, so there's that. If looking at the creature is not for your liking, there is a piece that can snap on top that can completely hide the Labubu. Again, all sculpted well.
One arm is a 'regular' arm, while the left seems to be some kind of gun and/or blaster.

You get a pretty static pose for these things. Technically, Flamingo over here has a small bit of articulation with the arms, but the range of movement is not anywhere close to call it articulation.

While you won't catch me saying that pink is a great color to add to my collection, I will praise the paint job and colors this thing has. The glossy pink paint for the armor, the sprinkled red and purple all over it--it's a good final product over all. The pink armor also has some slight shadowing to it, which gives it this antique look despite the glossy look. There's some wear & tear, some rust, it's just impressive, overall. The name "Flamingo" fits.

This is indeed an odd addition to my collection. Then again, with other POPMART-related blind bags, I suppose it's not too far-fetched. I'm not sure I can recommend this to everyone. The blind bag nature may not be for everyone, and the fact that every single piece from this wave is all drastically different... It's a hard recommendation. Regardless, it's a nice-looking piece with some good sculpting and coloring-painting that works for the Flamingo. Other than that, that's all I got on this one.
Until Next Time!
