Smilefest 2025

Another year of toy announcements from this event! As always, these are just ones that caught my attention and ones I'm probably not going to be getting any time soon, if at all. So, let's look at some interesting figures, shall we?

I discussed Noctis and Lightning in a previous post regarding these statues, and at that time, Fran was merely an announcement. Now, we have a prototype! And, bah god, she's glorious! Another statue inspired by an official (and popular) artwork of Fran, so it's perfect. Lots of details are going to go into that one, for sure. Wait... so 15...13...12... Where's Y'shtola? And FFX-2 in there? (Probably not).

I seriously do not have room for Eva figurines or statues. I don't have room. Period. However, that doesn't stop me from looking at the ones that are coming out. The Asuka would fit right in if I were ever to organize and make room for a statue of that caliber. Rei... I've never been a Big fan of Rei, but that's a good-looking statue.

My chapter with Figma is definitely over (unless, of course, they create another Elsa Figma in the future). But just like the Eva statues, an anime character like Marin getting an articulated figure is bound to pique some interest. Shame I'm done with those action figures.

Revy is an anime character I've seen here and there. She's always had an interesting look and an attitude worthy of my attention. Pretty sure I'm not going to pull the trigger because I haven't watched a single episode of her anime, but... It's a nice statue.

Don't know who this character is, but she looks pretty cool! Again, will most likely never get it, but I just thought it's a nice looking figure to showcase.

Ryuko in a bunnysuit is a bit of an overkill considering how gratuitous her anime already is. Still, that's a nice little figurine for anyone wanting that idea of her.

Yes, I also look at non-female figures and such. Although my knowledge of Guyver is minimal, I have enjoyed the series from a distance and like how the character looked throughout the years. These figures look pretty good!

And then there's that beauty. That's a lot of fine details, and I'm afraid to know what the price point is! Still, it looks amazing. Berserk is another anime I have seemed to have slipped away from getting to know. One of these days, I hope.

If I was to be honest, I'd say that the Fran statue is the only one I'm going to end up having from this post. And this is by no means the only ones shown on Smilefest 2025--just the ones that caught my attention. Regardless, perhaps one day I'll come across some of these online or maybe in person. Heck, maybe one day I'll have extra funds and room, eh?
