Funko POP: Bombshell Batwoman (Review)
Updated: Mar 3, 2019
The bombshell line is a popular theme that takes some of the iconic characters of DC and reimagines them as characters from that era. Some of these characters carries over to a few of their merchandise and of course, the POP line gets a few. So far, I snagged POP Bombshell Batwoman some time back! Let's check her out!
Standard POP box. The color schemes are themed around the figure's style.
I managed to take a look at all the Bombshell DC gals and they are all interesting. Supergirl and Hawkgirl definitely caught my interest, but I'm not sure if I am going to be snagging them.
One thing I really like from this theme is that it makes a point to pay homage to the characters' concept and work with the era's style. For Batwoman, she is a softball player complete with her color scheme, the logos, and she comes with a bat. Loving the short skirt too!
Since Batwoman is literally decked out in black and red (great combo of colors, by the way!), the POP version of her made sure that her red hair stands out against her limited color scheme. I love the shade of red they chose!
The sculpting has details that is highly appreciated; love the lines on the hat and the wavy cloth details on her skirt. Her pose is also something I can appreciate since it has that sexy vibe to it, but still holds a hint of masculinity.
Again, it's a good POP, but I'm not searching hard for the others to complete this set. With a good sculpt, great color scheme, and the idea is pretty catchy, I found myself really connected with POP Batwoman. I recommend it for any hardcore Batwoman/Bat Family fan. Well, that's about it!
Until Next Time!
