Funko POP: Deadpool w/ Headpool (Marvel Zombies)

The Merc with a Mouth in POP form! Definitely not the first Wade Wilson POP but the first in his classic red! But it is a Marvel Zombies version so let's see what extra shenanigans he has with him, shall we?

There is no arguing that Deadpool is a popular character. He's had peaks of notable mainstream runs that is a fact but sadly, I've never been on Wade's wagon. Though I'm not against some Merc-with-a-Mouth merchandise. This is another gift from my good friend and this one is also along the lines of Marvel Zombies. This is also not Wade by himself, mind you. This POP has Headpool.

From my other review of Marvel Zombie POP, the Mysterio POP looks really interesting. Zombie Wolverine looks interesting as well.

Another Bobblehead!

The 'droop' on the back of his mask is present!

A single Deadpool POP is something to appreciate as long as it gets the care and attention with sculpting and poses. And this POP gets all that with the details of Deadpool's outfit like his belt, his boots, gloves, sword, etc. The pose isn't all too dynamic, he's actually quite static. Don't mind it since there's a special 'addition' to this POP: Headpool! I don't know much about this guy but he exists. For this POP, Headpool is the zombie and it's amazing cause he's got some details as well! Just want to point out that Wade is holding Headpool through the layer of his mask. The zombie's head is staying afloat with some kind of contraption on its head so to keep that illusion and the figurine stable, Funko decided to make green liquid ooze out of Headpool and hit the ground. It becomes another means to stabilize the POP, which to me, it's quite a genius way to do it. There are some grotesque details given to Headpool when you look at him head-on (no pun intended) and that's always appreciated.

There are green goo all over Deadpool's sword so there's a story told here. And from this angle, one can really see the small details added to Wade's costume.

The colors are pretty spot on. And while most of the work went on Headpool, Deadpool himself isn't too shabby since the paint job is mostly clean. A few off-lines with the reds, all in all, it isn't bad. I just have to point out that the inclusion of Headpool's zombie blood adds a good contrast.

My only other Marvel Zombie POP. As I pointed out in the review, POP Red Skull (Marvel Zombies) has a lot going for it despite it being very simple.

Deadpool Corps. Yeah, it's an actual thing, funny enough. Surprisingly, I don't have a lot of Deadpool POPs in my collection.

I honestly like this thing. It's a good POP. Even though Wade isn't the Zombie, Headpool takes the genre and makes it his own. And even if the main POP, Deadpool, doesn't have any gnarly details or all undead-like, he's still got plenty of nifty details that make him a good POP. I recommend. However, I'm not sure if this one is common since it is a Collector Corps exclusive. So lucky me!

Until Next Time!
