Funko POP: Iron Man (Mark 5)

Another Mark V POP?! Didn't I get one recently? Yes, I did, but this one is a bit more classic. I have a love for the Suitcase suit, okay? Besides, he's got the Silver Centurion colors when wearing this thing! Anyways, let's review!

The Infinity Saga will continue to be profitable, I swear. I'm not sure what their rhyme and reason for this miniwave but they definitely can milk this because "Infinity Saga" is a lot of movies and moments, characters, etc.

It's a bobblehead!

Again, I love the look of this suit. I love all the armor platings, the outer exoskeleton look, the bumps and ridges, the fact that it was a briefcase, and, honestly, the Red and Silver just look clean! While it's one of his weakest armor, it still has one of the best looks in terms of design and just overall presentation. It got wrecked by Whiplash, though, but come on, back in the day, Tony had to build up to the Nanotech. This POP accomplishes all I need to see the Mark V in this tiny and unproportioned form as accurately as possible to the source material. And for that, I'm thrilled!

The pose can almost be a movie moment. If anything else, it's the usual pose from our Iron Avenger! Hands out, repulsor blast ready, and a stance to tell Whiplash that he's ready to fight! I think Funko did a fine job with that. However, there was something wrong with the spring on my copy, which forced me to make an adjustment. Now it's a permanent pose as is, which, honestly, looks good anyway.

The colors are clean! That darker red tint right next to the silver just looks amazing. The sculpting details with the armor platings and the lines it just works great with the color execution! I love it!

While the colors are so off, it is the same armor! Loving the details on both!

Two completely different armors from different spectrums of the Marvel Multiverse. Still, it's two Iron Man armors that are red and silver. Got this strange feeling that Iron Hammer is gonna beat Mark V to kingdom come.

I've said it before that a Hot Toy and a POP are not a fair comparison. It's still nice to see the two of them together, though.

I'm a huge fan of the Mark V. The moment I saw it in the trailers, I thought we were about to get the Silver Centurion. Of course, that wasn't the case, and we eventually got the Centurion some 28 Marks later (Silver Centurion Mark XXXIII). Regardless of that, however, I'll always have a deep love for this armor. And I'm glad that Funko didn't forget about it... But Mark 33 next, Funko!?
