Funko POP: Luffy Gear Five

This is an odd POP for me to have, isn't it? I know nothing about One Piece since I don't watch the show but it is pretty popular. This one is actually for a special little guy and I'm excited to give it to him. Before that, I was allowed to review him. So let's get into it, shall we?
Seems like this one is a special edition of some sort. Found it in Walmart, so there's that?
While I don't know much about the anime, there is something with this POP to enjoy as a collector. I love the pose! It's very dynamic! It showcases Luffy's stretching powers with his right hand reaching out. I know they had to fit this POP within the confines of a standard POP box so I'm glad they were able to make that work. The cloud(?) special effect going in unison with his running pose adds a lot of depth to this POP. The hair has a cloud-like appearance to it which is a job well done to the sculptwork. The clothes, his accessories, they're all just impressive. I genuinely love this POP just for this.
Luffy's color in this form leans towards white. With a few accents of purple and brown from his belt and sandals, it all comes together pretty well. The white on his hair is slightly different from his clothing, but all in all, they look good.
Here is Luffy next to Deku (and Eri) and Goku. Protagonists powered up and united! Guess it's not fair since Goku's got better forms. Speaking of, I do need an SSJ Blue at some point.
POP: Anime Protags
It's a good POP! Really a lot to admire and appreciate. The details are there, the colors are great, and it's just a fun and whacky pose that it caught my attention right away. The little guy is gonna love this one, for sure! I recommend this POP for One Piece fans; if it's missing anything related to what he does in the anime, then yeah, I don't know, but I like the work and thought put into this one.
