We've got another Beast Wars POP, yeeeesss. This time around, we've got the Predacon, Megatron! Pretty excited for this POP, so let's go ahead and check him out, shall we?

I'm still curious if they are going to continue with the other characters like Dinobot, Inferno, Airrazor, and so on.

Megatron takes on the form of a T. rex for the Beast Wars. A fitting form and his overall design are actually pretty cool. The bestial form mixes well with the robotic traits, which is always going to be the fun thing about Beast Wars characters. There's plenty of texturing on Megatron's skin since he is supposed to be a Dinosaur. The robotic parts of him are smoother and have their own quirky designs, but overall, he looks accurate to his show counterpart, which is always a win when sculptwork looks clean and accurate.

Megatron's pose is definitely not the most dynamic that we've seen from a POP. But it does the job of making sure the Predacon leader isn't looking stiff and neutral. His gun arm is pointing out, and he does look like he's in some kind of battle stance, so I'm happy. I'm also able to enjoy every detail he has, so it's a win.

Colors are pretty sharp! The beast mode has a brighter tone to him than how he looked in the original series (or those green spots on his dinosaur form seemingly mute), but the color execution is well done. The metallic parts of him are glossier than the flesh, and honestly, it's a pretty accurate look.

Look at that familiar mug of Beast Wars Megatron. Sure, he was a bit goofier than the G1 Megatron, and he isn't going to get moments that stand out compared to the OG, but man, was he fun. Also, when he was on point with his schemes, he was on point! The way that face accurately creates him in POP form reminds me of a portion of my childhood mornings.

I even love the details on his T. rex arm. He looks so menacing! And this sculptwork is consistent throughout Megatron!

Yes, these two rivals. Beast Wars POP Optimus Primal stands alongside his counterpart, Megatron... they look great together. If you had to pick two to get from the set, it has to be these two!

If I didn't let it be known, this thing is a must. As a POP collector and a lover of the original show, there is plenty of me to just give it a thumbs up for a go. And it's not just fandom that carries this POP, colors, and sculpt is Funko at its best, so there's always that! So, yes. A win. Let's see if the rest maintains this expectation.
Until Next Time!
