Been waiting to review this POP for some time now! I love the anime, and the characters really grew on me. So without further ado, here's Okarun in his transformed state in POP form! Let's go!

One of the best anime openings to date!

I'm guessing that, other than the exclusives already out, this won’t be the final Dandadan POPs we’re going to get. This wave is actually pretty solid and basic in a good way, but we’re definitely gonna need more.

Okarun’s design is pretty unique for an anime character of his archetype. A lot of the appeal for me comes from his face — the mouthpiece, the wild hair, the eyes, and the glasses — paired with how his collar flares out like a demonic cape. He also has that feral demeanor, and all of it is captured really well in this POP form.

The details on his face are spot-on: the gritting teeth, the hair sticking up — everything feels perfectly in character for transformed Okarun.

He’s got a pretty simple pose — crouched down and seemingly ready to burst into full speed at whoever gets in his and Momo’s way. It perfectly fits that beastial, feral nature Okarun taps into whenever he’s about to fight. It’s a fitting pose, and I have no complaints here. The sculpt work and details are spot-on to the character.

The colors on Okarun are amazing! The dark red lining and tips on his black clothing look great, and the vibrant white hair with red streaks provides a perfect contrast against his overall dark, gloomy tones.

There are no noticeable paint defects, and he looks just like he does in the anime — just a bit more vibrant and eye-catching.

Such an awesome face!

From this close, you can see where the black starts to transition to that dark red. Nice little touch.

Okarun Transformed and Momo Ayase look good next to each other.

It’s a pretty awesome POP. Simple, but it really gets the character right. There are other Okarun POPs out now and more coming, I’m sure. But if I could only have one, this is a solid representation, and I’d happily take it. Definitely recommend!

Until Next Time!
