I wasn't blogging when I was reading Civil War way back in 2006 and 2007 so it's not like I have made it known what I feel about certain Spidey key moments. But I will say it now that I honestly think that the Iron Spider is one of my favorite Spidey costumes (speaking of, maybe I should do a list/run down of my all time favorite Spider-Man costumes since he has a lot or should I say, there are a ton of Spideys from the Spiderverse). The obvious reason for me is that it makes Spider-Man a little more effective in his daily endeavors. He basically has an Iron Man suit with its own perks that are beyond what he can normally do. I love how it looks and the addition of the 'waldoes' really makes Spider-Man 'complete'.
The Cinematic Universe version of the Iron Spider may not be an exact copy of the Civil War Iron Spider from way back when, but if portrayed well enough, it could work. Still, I'm not a big fan of this new Spider-Man. I wonder what kind of Marvel Legends with added parts here and there will we be getting? Well, that's about it for this side of the fandom.
