They're finally here! I was pretty excited with my previous POST, so to finally have it, I'm more than willing to share some of the awesome things that came out of this set!

Now I'm no expert when it comes to Magic: The Gathering. And while I'm aware of how big they are, and I'm a bit more in the know of what they've done in the Fantasy genre. But for some reason, I've mostly stayed away and not because I disdain the idea, it's just that I don't think (still don't) have the time. But when MTG announced a Final Fantasy collaboration, I was intrigued. Then the promotional art came out, and I was sold! I mean, this deck is what got me since it features Terra and the rest of the FFVI cast!

Terra and Celes in the forefront?! I'm all for it!

So unpacking all of this, we get some things like the deck of cards and other things that I am not entirely sure I can understand since it's all part of the MTG experience/game. But it does come with a lot of promotional art featuring Terra Branford, so I'm a pretty happy camper!

The cards and the artwork are why I pulled the trigger for this! A lot of them are memorable moments from the game, and I can't help but feel nostalgic! So much love and thought put into some of the pictures! I especially love the assembled team picture-- standing tall and together against the self-proclaimed God, Kefka Palazzo.

Both picture of Terra and Kefka embodies the characters' personalities.

There are plenty of character-focused cards as well as moments/situations based on FFVI; the artwork for all of them is awesome. Of course, there are stats, game mechanics, and rules that I don't understand completely.

Surprisingly, there are some cards dedicated to other Final Fantasy moments/characters. Lyse and Hojo above from FFXIV & FFVII respectively, are just some of the examples.

It is kind of sad that my Terra Branford merchandise is very, very small in numbers. There are a couple of figurines out there, but they're a bit out of my price point.

I could've gone on and shown every single card here, but that would've been redundant. I'm sure y'all got the idea. Maybe I'll post some singles in the future.

Well, that's about it. If I were a MTG player, I'm sure I would've had a bit more fleshed-out commentary and far more useful insight. But alas, I'm just a fan of Final Fantasy. But as a collector, what are my thoughts? Well, I'm always happy to have more Terra Branford merch, and the fact that FFVI is getting some love and exposure means the chances of getting more affordable merch is higher. All in all, I'm happy to have this and, honestly, the FFXIV and FFX deck may not be far away. Again, not sure if I'm ever going to get into the game, but as a lover of the franchise and the beautiful artwork, I'm pretty impressed and happy to have these. Glad I got mine!

Until Next Time!
