Spider bot! A Black Widow! It's time to feed into the spooky season with the Predacon's spider form, femme fatale, key member. I shouldn't be shocked that she's one of the picks to be in the POP, but I kind of am. Then again, I doubt they would've put Airazor in the mix, so here we are. With that said, let's get into the review, shall we?

The only female in the set and she's representing, for sure!

It's amazing how much Blackarachnia looks compared to her male counterpart, Trantulas. Then again, I feel like she was designed to be the 'eye candy' of the show (poor Airazor, I know). She's got the prominent facial features through despite her robotic form, the feminine body curves, the sass, and she's still got the arachnid-like arms that act like machine guns--dare we not mention those crab-like hands, eh? How did all of that translate to POP form? Suffice it to say, the execution of the sculpting is excellent, and the accuracy is on point. Blackarachnia's POP form is just as awesome as her show counterpart. There are plenty of sculptures present that are consistent from head to toe, from the front to the back. She just looks good, and I can't help but admire this thing since she is just like her CGI version popping out of the 90s TV and into my hand collection, albeit with a big head proportion!

Blackarachnia is standing there with sass. Full of devious plots against her comrades and her leader, Megatron, the way she's posed right there says everything about her character. Hips exaggerated to one side, her hand on the hip... perfect. Blackarachnia is one agile Predacon, but sometimes it's when she's standing relaxed is when one should really be careful of her. Perfect pose for this Black Widow. I'm glad Funko went with this.

Paint execution and color choices are just spot on. Blackarachnia is actually has plenty of diversity in her color scheme despite being a black widow. She's got blue, gold, green, and, of course black & red! All of these colors are present, well executed and no obvious paint defects. The metallic shine of on certain parts like her head gives some good depth against the matted plastic. Just overall, she looks good and accurate to the show! Blackarachnia is going to terrorize in style!

Ain't that a pretty face you want to see in the morning, eh?

Completely different franchise, but two Spider-Women! They go together in some superficial way!

For sure Silk and Blackarachnia has less in common! A good contrast between a very agile and dynamic POp next to a neutral and sassy one.
POP: Women of Spiders

I underestimated this POP. While I was always a fan of Blackarachnia, I didn't think I'd be impressed with all of the work that came with her. Sculptwork, accuracy, and a nearly flawless execution of the paint... this is a must for sure to have and to complete the set. Plenty to appreciate, and so far, she carries on the consistency of Beast Wars POP!
Until Next Time!
