Funko POP: Figaro with Cleo

A POP that I gifted my special friend! Yes, she's still collecting side characters, and this time around, it's Figaro (with Cleo) from Pinocchio! It's an adorable piece that I'm pretty excited to review! Let's go there, then, shall we?

I highly doubt I'm ever going to add any more of these POPs to the collection unless, of course, my special friend wants a specific one.

These POPs are pretty simple, but they have their own charm and complexity. For Figaro and Cleo, it’s the fact that they’re two characters in one set — one in action, the other more neutral. That alone makes them stand out from the usual POPs I get. It’s a sweet moment between a cat and a goldfish: Cleo splashing up from her bowl to give Figaro a big smooch. The sculpting is really well done, and even though this is an older POP, the quality still holds up nicely.
I especially appreciate how they detailed the fish bowl with all the little elements inside, giving Cleo a peaceful little world despite the chaos around her. Figaro is sculpted adorably, too, with that perfect joyous expression only a POP can pull off.

The pose is very dynamic and expressive. I’m not sure if this was an actual moment from the movie, but even if it isn’t, it’s still a really cute scene. I do remember Cleo being surprisingly active for a fish in a bowl, while Figaro… well, that cat was acting a bit out of character, too. Still, it’s an awesome piece and very nicely decorated.

The colors, as simple as they are, are done really well. Figaro’s black and white scheme is clean, and the little details on his ears are a nice touch. Cleo gets the same level of care. I especially love the transparent plastic used for the splashing water coming out of the bowl. There are lots of small details that really bring this POP to life.

What a cute picture, close up of the two!

Two completely different genres of animation, yet both feature cats with their own distinct roles. Chachamaru is a much more recent POP, but the details on Figaro still hold up really well despite its age.

Figaro & Cleo is a nice little POP. It’s not something most people would actively seek out for their collection, since Pinocchio isn’t one of those Disney movies that immediately come to mind — especially not its side characters.
Still, it’s a really good-looking piece. My friend absolutely loves it, and that’s always a big plus for me.
Until next time!
