Funko POP: Lock (The Nightmare Before Christmas) "Glows in the Dark"

Alright, folks! Time for the third POP of this Halloween trio. Another glow-in-the-dark variant, so I’m pretty excited. Let’s get to the review, shall we?

The trio has been a treat as POPs. Let’s see if Lock continues the trend, shall we?

Lock’s design leans into the mainstream idea of a devil. Red, pointy tail, and the horns — it’s all present with this guy. His POP version has the hair sculpted to look like the horns, the cocked eyebrows, and that devilish grin. Of course he’s holding a mask, which is also a demon face with a lot of sharp teeth. Something I didn’t really focus on with the others is that the lips and teeth are all sculpted, which makes the grin even more expressive. Very accurate to his movie counterpart, and he looks great.

I like his pose. While holding his mask, Lock is waving at us! Yes, I'm sure he isn't up to anything devious or whatever.

No surprise that I favor Lock’s colors the most. Dressed in all red like the devil himself, the matte red contrasts well against his pale skin. The highlights of purple, along with the blue lips, give him an eerie look. For a POP that is mostly red, there’s still a lot to appreciate with the other colors bouncing off it.

While the blue glow on Lock’s skin is very bright, I feel like his mask should’ve gotten the glow-in-the-dark treatment as well. Would’ve been nice seeing the red and the blue glow together. Still, it looks good.

This rounds out the Trick-or-Treating Trio nicely. Lock has the strongest color scheme of the three for me, the sculpt is accurate, and the glow still adds something fun even if the mask doesn’t join in. If you’re grabbing one of the glow versions for Halloween, he’s the one I’d point people toward first. Easy recommendation for Nightmare Before Christmas fans filling out the seasonal shelf.
Until Next Time!
