Funko POP: "FLAIR"

Well, this is not a typical Funko POP review, ya know! POP FLAIR is not a very common thing, and it’s not something I’ve seen Funko market much. So let’s talk about what they are and how they enhance a POP, shall we?

There are four FLAIRs that come with this Comic-Con limited edition. I don’t know if I would’ve necessarily gone out of my way to get this on my own. I picked it up from a blind purchase using Funko points.

The first one is a comic book-themed piece complete with skyscrapers and onomatopoeia "POW" and "BAM". For a little piece of plastic, it's got some nice details. With the giant letters and the dynamic speech bubbles, one can look at it and see the comic book panels sticking out!

I have a few MIB POPs, but of course, Jessica Drew gets the bedazzling. And it does look good. It even works when a POP is using a UV Premium POP protector (or something similar).

The next one we’re looking at is this gold ooze-like crown. It works well with a UV Premium POP Case, and the way it’s sculpted to look like it’s actually dripping down the sides is pretty well done. The crown itself is a neat addition, so I’m not complaining.

I gotta admit, the Venom Rivals Chase looks good with this crown on. The yellow colors of the box play off the gold, gooey-like crown nicely.

The lightning effect looks pretty good too. It’s sharp and resembles a lightning effect you’d see in a cartoon or something similar.

I don't have a Thor or Storm POP that is MIB, so my closest one is.... SSJ4 Gogeta? Yeah, I'm not sure, but it's good enough.

The last on this set is a superhero bird perched in a corner of the building. It looks adorable, it looks brave, and it looks halfway goofy--in a good way. The brick wall, the cape flowing behind it- yeah, it's perfect.

I put it on Eddie Guerrero since the man is a high-flying kind of wrestler. I didn't keep it on Eddie since it doesn't match Latino Heat as much.
All in all, it’s a neat idea. I ended up keeping the crown on the Venom Rivals Chase and put the skyscrapers on Jessica. FLAIRs aren’t something I see too often, so this was a nice little surprise. Not something I expected to care about, but they do add a fun extra layer once you actually put them on a figure. Can I recommend? Not something I would say is worth hunting for, but if it's free, it's worth looking at it.
Until Next Time!
