That's right! It's the World Eater himself! I've been waiting for a POP of him for some time now, and here we are! Fresh from the new (and really good) Fantastic Four movie, here is Galan in all his bold and ominous presence. Without further ado, let's see if this POP measures up to Galatus' reputation. Let's go!

A 6-inch POP of Galactus, and he is pretty massive! And he's not the only one in this wave, obviously.

Galactus is a classic character and thank goodness we finally get him in all his glory. While his movie appearance and what he does (and doesn't) do leaves a lot to be desired, his design overall is VERY loyal to his comic book counterpart. This SUPER POP really gets a lot of details right! It's not necessarily his size that makes this POP stand out ot me. Truth to be told, 6 inches aren't that out of scale with the norm action figures; to me, it's all the details with this POP. All the intricacies of his outfit, the lines, the layers, the rivets, the multiple pieces connecting, the texturing... so much to look at and yet so much to enjoy. The sculpting here is just amazing, and it truly looks like Galactus as we know and love him from the comics--the design is also a big plus why movie Galactus looks so appealing! Again, he may not have done too much, but he sure did have the presence.

Not going to say that he has the best pose, but it is fitting for his character. Hands extended, impsoing his presence as if saying "behold my mighty hand!". Onslaught, he is definitely not, though. He's stronger.

The paint job on this guy is stellar. While most of the work of this POP goes to the very meticulous sculpting, the way the colors just mash up to look accurate, and the little pieces of layered colors, the choice of plastic, and the overall look of it just makes for an amazing looking POP. Truly a win that is complemented by the paint job/colors.

Maybe he should've had those square eyes? But I don't know--that would break the mold of the way a POP looks.

Galactus got the comic book accurate love more than Arishem, and their POPs, of course, reflect that. I still feel that Galactus is the better POP between the two, though a Celestial POP is always going to be something unique.

I just had to put these two together! While they share many things in terms of looks, it's still blatantly obvious that these two are not operating in the same Universe--though it is said that Galactus is one person in every Universe--until he's not. Does that apply to Galacta as well?
POP: Marvel Cosmic

The first time I ever saw Galactus--yes, it was in the 1991 trading cards (back when cards were something else compared to what they are now).

This is a good-looking POP, that much is certain. So much great details, colors are sharp and on point, his massive size defintely makes you feel his power... all in all, I highly recommend. He'll definitely leave a long-lasting impression compared to what he did and didn't do in the movie. Aura, this Galactus has, for sure!
Until Next Time!
