Funko POP: Gogeta SSGSS - Funko Exclusive

Writer: OnyxOnyx

I'm on a Dragonball trend, it seems! With all the awesome releases they've had lately, I can't help but snag a few of them! This guy over here is Gogeta Super-Saiyajin-God-Super-Saiyajin... or Super Saiyan God Gogeta... Or SSG Gogeta... or Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta. Whatever! I'll call it Gogeta SSB from here on out. Anyways, let's take a look at this POP, shall we?

It's a small thing but I love the box design. I love the orange backdrop with Shen-Long placed all over to juxtapose the orange color. And I would like to snag Super Saiyan God Vegeta one day and maybe the Super Saiyan Broly. Not a bad set, honestly.

I've always liked how Gogeta looked. For a long while, one can only fully appreciate Gogeta through the non-canonical anime movie of Dragonball, Fusion Reborn. But thanks to the Dragonball Super Broly movie, we now have more Gogeta. Not only is he Canon now (along with Broly), but he's managed to become Super Saiyan Blue! And let me just say that he looks awesome as a Super Saiyan Blue! It also helped that the animation for the movie was top-tier for the time. Funko did an amazing job with this POP. The details of Gogeta's outfit are all there, the hair is sculpted nicely which captures Gogeta's style. I love that strand of hair coming down his face, which is a signature of coolness in the Dragonball universe.

The pose is an action-based one and I am happy for that. It's Gogeta throwing his signature Soul Crusher ki-blast, which he did in the movie. The sacrifice is, of course, having a permanent stand with stand supporter pegged behind Gogeta. Other than that, the sculpting is amazing, the way the wrinkles are on his pants, the vest moving, and the way the translucent ki is shaped, are all done quite well. No complaints at all.

I always like the details they put on Super Saiyans' hair!

The lines between Gogeta's hair and skin are a bit off. It's slightly more obvious this time around so it does take away from the POP just a little bit. But other than that defect, everything else is well executed. Paint is clean everywhere else and the plastic color do work well with each other. The vibrant off-blue color of his hair compliments Gogeta's color scheme, which, all in all, the POP just looks amazing when it's all said and done.

One day I'll have a Super Saiyan Blue of both Goku and Vegeta. They'd look nice next to Gogeta SSG. Still, this is a good shot.

Base Gogeta and SSG Gogeta have a nice pic next to each other. I'm just missing SSJ Gogeta! The three would look good next to each other!

Do you see that design? Probably my favorite design that has come out from Dragonball. And he looks good in base and SSJ!

This Funko-exclusive POP is amazing. Despite the slight paint defect, the pose, the sculpting details, and the overall aura of this character make this POP a high recommendation from me. For Dragonball fans, casual or hardcore, a SSG Gogeta POP is a must. For those who missed it, hoping they will restock if not, the second-hand market will most likely hike the price up.

Until Next Time!
