Slashing through! Laura Kinney/X-23 is now here! From the big screen of the 2024 movie, Wolverine & Deadpool, to her POP form! Another gift from my special friend, so, of course, pretty excited and appreciative that I have her! So, let's go review!

A pretty small set. This one has Elektra in the wave, but she's a Funko.com exclusive.

X-23 came out swinging in Deadpool & Wolverine. No longer the child she was from Logan, Laura Kinney was a force to be reckoned with. She didn't get one of her costumes from the comics, and she didn't even have a familiar signature civilian clothing. But she did wear a complementary ensemble and those glasses! This POP captured her likeness with all the detailing that we'd come to expect from Funko! I do wish her foot claws were extended, but it's not a huge deal as long as she's got her main claws out and ready for slashing.

Like I said, the pose is pretty good. It's nothing too crazy, but it is an iconic pose that Laura did in both Logan and Deadpool & Wolverine.

As far as the colors and the paint job go, Laura actually looks pretty darn good! X-23's color scheme was pretty muted, except her glasses--and Funko nailed the look. My copy of this POP doesn't have any defects, so I have no complaints about the execution.

I know that Bishoujos and POPs are trying to attract a different kind of collector, but both are canonical outfits in their respective variant. Again, I do wish that Laura had her claws out for the MCU version.

One day, I'm going to read up on Weapon Hex and get some context, but I will say this: I like her design! Very outrageous next to the simple and casual outfit of Luara Kinney.

Two Old Man Logans next to a growing Laura Kinney. All these costumes are certainly doable in the real world. They're all so casual.

Now, these three didn't team up, mind you. You don't see Lady Deadpool interact with Laura and Remy.
POP: A Lot of Claws

I like X-23's involvement in Deadpool & Wolverine. I know she didn't have the biggest part, but from what she was able to give, it worked out. Dafne Keen did something for the role both in how she looks and how she carried herself. Here's to hoping she gets to wear the costume, right? In the meantime, I can say that her POP version is well worth the price! She's also a common, so no reason not to snag her now!
Until Next Time!
