He really made a name for himself. One of the standout 'cameos' from Deadpool & Wolverine, Channing Tatum's Gambit, deserves this POP; and I, for one, deserve to have him! My friend has done this since she bought me this! With that said, let's get into the review, shall we?

A minimal set! I'm still upset that Blade doesn't have his... blade out!

Bobblehead!
Bobblehead!

Gambit's design in Deadpool & Wolverine is, more or less, a parody of the comic book inspiration. I'm not going to lie, it looks silly as heck trying to be as 'accurate', but at the end of the day, this is how Gambit looks in the comics, which I'm sure they can do a better job replicating while giving it a modern look. Which is why, I believe, this is more of a parody. But like a lot of people, Deadpool & Wolverine's Gambit were a joy. From the over-the-top accent to the lines delivered, and, of course, to his badassery during the fight scenes--yeah, Channing Tatum finally getting his Gambit role was awesome. This POP hardly replicates all of that but what it did do is take all the details of his outfit and put it into stylized form. It's all there from the headgear, the trench coat, the boots, and his kinetic cards! There is plenty to like with this POP, especially the way Gambit is about to throw his charged playing cards!

I love how Gambit is posed. The playing cards are shuffling between his hands as they are charged with kinetic energy--or in this case, he is making them 'go boom'.

I will say that my copy of Gambit has a few paint defects. The flesh tone is bleeding over, and some of the hairline is doing the same thing. Other than those defects, it's not a bad paint job, and the color choices match the cinematic look as much as possible. I love the contrast between his boots, his coat, and the kinetically charged playing cards! It's an overall good-looking piece with a few coloring mishaps.

"Royal... FLUSH!"

I love the translucent plastic that imitates Remy's kinetic cards! I love the sculpt of it and it really creates the illusion of him shuffling his cards with his mutant powers!

I'll always say when I put a Bishoujo right next to a POP that it's not a fair game, but I'm not so much comparing as just showing a perspective. But I do like the idea that these two are showing off their powers.

Different universes, I know, so are they star-crossed lovers? Hopefully, in Avengers Doomsday that we see a fraction of what Remy LeBeau's X-Men and Rogue look like.

Gambit is not a common character in my collection, but he sure does have a lot of supporting characters!

I do love this POP. Again, another gift from my friend, so that's always a plus. Despite the minor paint defects, there is a good amount to like, like the details, the pose, and just the character, and the movie is a lot of fun. I highly recommend!

Until Next Time!
