2025 was a good year for Marvel Rivals POPs, and adding Magik to the collection was actually suggested by my special friend. I didn’t oppose it since I do like Magik, and her Rivals design isn’t too far off from her original look. With that said, her POP form has a lot to talk about, so let’s get into the review!

Yes, I have this entire wave. Go figure.

Magik’s outfit in Marvel Rivals is very similar to her black booty-shorts look from the comics. While it’s a bit more armored and technically shows less skin, it keeps the same design elements — the black leather aesthetic and Illyana’s recognizable headgear. Of course, her classic Soulsword is still present, and it looks awesome.

Her Marvel Rivals POP version captures a lot of these details through the sculpting. The intricate straps, layered armor, and clothing, and even the buckles, are all present and look great. Magik’s sword also gets the same level of care, and overall, I’m really pleased with how she turned out as a POP in her in-game form.

Her pose isn’t particularly dynamic — it’s Magik standing with her sword, which is a pretty standard stance for her. Still, it works well, and I have no complaints.

Illyana Rasputin isn’t very diverse in color schemes, so the predominantly black theme with subtle variations works well. As mentioned earlier, Magik’s outfit is full of straps and intricate details, and the coloring is mostly accurate and on point. There is a small paint defect on her hair, but everything else looks great. I especially like the noticeable contrast between her skin tone and her stockings. They also nailed her blonde hair — it isn’t overly golden or too vibrant — and the translucent Soulsword looks fantastic.

The paint bleeding on her bangs is obvious when up close.

I love the contrast between these two POPs. While Galacta is HUGE within the game's lore, the POP-Super next to a POP-Common is a nice contrast. Both Galacta and Magik have tons of details and their POP forms really capture them.

Both powerful, both adept with sorcery, and both good-looking POPs.

You can easily tell these POPs represent the same character, just in different versions of her. I love both figures. While the comic version delivers more action, the Marvel Rivals POP allows you to appreciate more of the finer details in Magik’s design.

Which one is your favorite? I personally like her comic book look more, but the Rivals is not a bad alternative!

It’s funny—I wasn’t initially planning to get her, but my friend convinced me that this POP was a must-have. I’m not complaining at all. The Marvel Rivals Magik POP has a lot going for it, and it’s an easy recommendation. Fans of Illyana Rasputin will definitely find something to enjoy here, making it a solid win for my collection.

Until Next Time!
