Time to make the Holidays part of your world! Yes, we are rolling in the Holiday POPs, and we are starting with Princess Ariel from The Little Mermaid! Let's get into the spirit and review this POP, shall we?
Yes, this is a Disney Princess and Frozen Holiday wave! It's awesome since I don't have any Disney waves that are dedicated to the Princesses for Holidays! Super excited to review these. And, yes. I have some of them in hand.
Princess Ariel is usually found Under the Sea, so she's not going to have a canonical dress for the Christmas season, at least from my knowledge. So, suffice it to say, this is a Funko exclusive clothing item that serves to honor both The Little Mermaid and the Holiday season. It's definitely something Ariel would wear, with slight decorations of her ocean life, such as a seashell to hold the winter cloak to her shoulders — something very winter-themed, especially with the white fur on the neck and at the hem. Her dress is double-layered, again with motifs of snowflakes, aligned with the idea of the Christmas spirit. All are sculpted to resemble the material they're replicating, and all in all, it's not at all a terrible execution. The layers, the wrinkles, and the overall presentation make this POP look fancy and festive. Ariel looks amazing!
Her pose isn't anything grand, but it does fit the theme. Ariel is standing elegantly with the pearl in a shell in her hands. I'm assuming she is gifting this to someone--Prince Eric is my assumption.
Ariel is well known for her vibrant red hair and her teal lower body. She doesn't necessarily have a standard color for her dresses/outfits, but most associate her with pink. For this Holiday theme, Funko went with that notion and gave her two color variations of pink. With snowflake motifs all over and some hints of Christmas flair all about. The color choices and the paint execution are all up to standard so there's no complaint from me at all.
Yes, she is gifting someone with a pearl. I'm sure it's one of the finest from her hometown.
All of my The Little Mermaid POPs. While I do like Ariel since she is my first Disney Princess, I doubt I'll go crazy getting all of her POPs.

A wonderful start to the Holiday POP wave! I have a few more, so don't worry, I'm not going to stop. I love Christmas, and adding some POPs for the Festive Season is something I am not opposed to. Princess Ariel starting it off is just right! Recommend? For the season, yes. As a POP, yes.
