Funko POP: Tigerzord (MMPR 25th)

White Ranger Power! Yeah, that's right! I'm pretty excited for this one! I don't get a lot of 6-inch POPs but when I do, they typically mean something. The White Ranger and his Tigerzord were a part of my childhood. So as a POP collector, I had to have this guy. I was convinced! So, let's get to it!

Yeah, I completely missed this wave. It's the classic POP with a very static pose. But the characters on this wave are it. They're the main crew! Probably won't be getting them but it's not a bad idea.

Not a bobblehead--though would that work since it's a 6-inch?

I know this might sound like I'm a heretic but I like White Ranger Tommy over his Green Ranger. He just had more cool moments and that White Ranger costume is cool! To be fair, the Green Ranger's American outfit isn't as cool as its Japanese version, but still, put Peak Green Ranger next to Peak White Ranger--who looks better? And White Ranger's Zord! It's got a transformation like Jason's Thunderzord. So, yes, I love the Tigerzord. This POP hits just about every nerd button I have regarding POPs. First off, the details. There are plenty of them. I love every sculpting done to make it look like the Zord. The details on its chest plate with the tiger head, the gauntlets, the ginormous head that looks stoic as heck. There's so much to love. And while the pose isn't super action-based, it does help show all the work done to appreciate this POP. The tail/sword does look a bit generic and doesn't reflect what it looks like on the show--but I'm willing to look past it.

This POP got some weight too. Hefty little guy, let me tell you. Especially its humongous dome has some weight to it for sure.

The colors are pretty good. The majority of the colors fall into the plastic color which is, (surprise) white. It's a good choice of white too since the Tigerzord on screen isn't metallic or chrome but pretty matted. This allows the other colors like red, silver, black, and gold to be a bit more of a contrast. There are some minor paint defects here and there but it's not enough to detract from the overall presentation of the POP. It's an overall well done piece.

Just look at all those small details! Again, the sword is incaccurate but the tiger chest plate, the White Ranger emblem on its gauntlet--it's just well done overall.

Here is the POP Tigerzord next to the other Zords I have in my collection. I know that the Tigerzord never really interacted with the Dinozords and the original Megazord, but hey, it's what I have in my collection. And they all look good right next to each other!

Ah, yes! These two together just look sick! There's a new version of the White Ranger coming out soon, I believe, but this one still looks great next to this 6-inch Tigerzord! Best believe when the new White Ranger comes out I'll be putting them all together in one shot!

A must? Yes. As a fan of the first few seasons of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, this one was a no-brainer, for sure. It's got some awesome details, the paint job isn't bad, and it just looks amazing next to my other POP Power Rangers collection. For any fans of MMPR, this one is a good addition to your collection. I recommend!

Until Next Time!
