POPMart: Hulkbuster Iron Man - "A Journey Through Armors"

This is a new collection wave on my blog, huh? Yes, it is! It's another POPMart blind box collection, and this time around, it features Iron Man in a handful of his armors through the years. Let's get into the review, shall we?
There are thirteen total Iron Men in the ranks. Some classics, mainstream, and obscure--the selection is actually diverse, and I like that!
The Hulkbuster is one of Iron Man’s most popular armors, and it’s appeared in animated series, video games, and even the MCU. While different users and versions have come and gone over the years, the beefier, tankier, Juggernaut-looking version of the Modular Armor will always be my number one. I’m glad this POP Mart release went with that classic Mark I look.
The details are all there from its first appearance. It has that 90s feel — clunky, muscular, and behemoth. The classic modular design with the gold plates and humanoid shape versus the more mechanical aesthetic are all sculpted well. Sure, the proportions are a bit exaggerated in some areas, but overall it still looks unmistakably like the Hulkbuster. It’s recognizable right off the get-go.
The pose mimics the 'Next: Green Politics' page where the Hulkbuster is shown in full body. It's actually quite nice to see it redone even in this small scale.
Hulkbuster retains that vibrant gold and yellow with a nice metallic sheen. Accurate, sharp, and clean — it’s everything you can ask for in an Iron Man figure. The base isn’t overly complex in color, but it does its job well. All in all, this Hulkbuster figurine looks amazing.
The base also comes with a mini comic book that more or less represents the armor’s story arc and first appearance. From what I understand, the Hulkbuster debuted in Iron Man #304, so I guess they were going for that Modular Armor vibe.
I’ve owned a few Hulkbuster figures over my years of collecting. Here are just a few — both comic and movie versions — from Marvel Legends to Funko POPs.
More on the brute side rather than mobility and strength, the Hulkbuster definitely looks the part of a strength-based armor.
All in all, this is a strong Hulkbuster figurine from POPMart that really captures the classic Modular Armor look I love so much. The details, the clunky 90s behemoth vibe, the metallic gold shine, and that imposing presence all come together nicely. It’s not the most complex release, but it does the iconic armor justice and looks great on the shelf.
If you’re a Hulkbuster or classic Iron Man fan, I can definitely recommend this one. It’s a solid win for the collection!
