Another Pokémon POP? For someone who isn't a big fan of Pokémon, I sure am getting quite a bit of them, eh? Yeah, this is my special friend's POP too! But I am pretty excited to review him, so let's get to POP Charizard's review, shall we?

What a small wave. Then again, Pokémon comes in increments when it comes to POPs. Still, wouldn't it make sense to have the OGs in one wave? Oh well. The boxes for these are awesome. Loving the fire element!

Charizard is a staple of Pokémon. If they wanted a Pokémon that is imposing and 'recognizable' to represent the franchise, I'd put my money that Charizard would be the first bet (Cute and mascot-y would fall into Pikachu's hands... paws). He looks like a dragon, fights like a dragon, and that flaming tail! Iconic creature! As far as his POP goes, it's pretty accurate to the source material. His got those wings stretched out, clawed hands, the dragon-like physique, the massive legs, and then that tail with the fire at the tip. All pretty much spot on to how Charizard looks in other media. The gigantic head doesn't do anything to detract from the idea that this is Charizard.

While a floating or a bit more action pose would've done plenty to elevate this POP, I am pretty happy that we are allowed to enjoy every detail this POP has to give. He doesn't look as menacing, and the pose is somewhat generic, but it isn't a dealbreaker or anything. I still love the fact that collectors can appreciate Charizard's design, and the POP allows us to also admire the work put into this.

I love the colors! bold, vibrant, and sharp! Pretty accurate to how Charizard looks in the anime/games. That fire tail is also an awesome touch since they did a great job ensuring that Charizard gets that signature tail. There's nothing much else to say other than this is a strong point of the POP!

Now that's a mean-looking Pokémon even if he isn't expressing as much!

Raichu probably stands the most chance against Charizard. Then again, what do I know, right? Need Blastoise and Venusaur here!

Love the contrast between the soft color and the OG color. Also, Charmeleon completes the trio evolution, so my friend and I need that POP!

We already know who wins here, but just saying, they look good next to each other.
POP: Pokemons

A definite recommendation! We love the size of it, the hefty weight, and the details are all there for anyone who is a fan of this Pokémon. True, a more action-like pose would've elevated the POP, but all in all, it's still 💯 fine. My friend loves it, so that's all that matters! Now, can we get Blastoise and Venusaur, please?
Until Next Time!
