Another addition to the Spooky Season! Trick or Treat, folks! The original Spirit of Vengeance is here! Fun fact! Ghost Rider is one of my favorite Marvel characters, especially Danny Ketch. But Johnny Blaze is fun, and this is who this POP is based on. So let's check out this POP, shall we?

It's a spooky set! Demons, ghosts, skeletons, and vampires!

It's a very simple look when Ghost Rider first came out. The spandex, the boots, that over-the-top collar... not a lot going on compared to future designs. The flaming skull face, however, was very unique to Ghost Rider (sort of) during the early days! The POP version really did manage to get the simplicity of his outfit and the contrasting design of his signature flaming skullhead. Funko has always done an amazing job with flames, the sculpting, and the way they are distributed. Glad they kept that same attention to detail for this guy, since Ghost Rider's gimmick is the flames and the skull.

He's pointing and standing tall. That's as much as a Ghost Rider pose when he's not riding around maniacally with his motorcycle. Honestly, I'm not going to complain about how they posed him.

The colors are vibrant and accurately represent the original comics from way back when. Essentially, there are various shades of blue in this outfit, and the contrasting shades of Loving the way highlight of pale blue bounces off against the main blue of his suit. To top it off, there is a hint of darker blue for his gloves and boots. Again, they all work well to complement each other. But the main attraction is, of course, that offwhite skullface, the lowing red eyes with the black circles, and the translucent flames! He looks absolutely amazing!

Now that's a very friendly face that you'd want to stare right in the eyes, eh?

Funny how I don't have a standard Ghost Rider POP. He is one of my favorite Marvel characters after all.

These two have so much history that it's insane. Through multiple Ghost Riders, the Devil had always been there.
POP: The Devil & The Ghost

I completely forgot that the original Ghost Rider had a '90s run. Despite not having those classic chains and the updated motorcycle, OG Ghost Rider still let out some serious aura, didn't he?

OG Ghost Rider is an awesome POP. Sure the lack of a motorcycle definitely doesn't give him the full Spirit of Vengeance feel, but that would mean he wouldn't be a common (he has a few good ones with said bike). This might trailblaze my want to hunt down other Ghost Rider POPs, I'll be honest. Regardless, by himself, it's a nice POP. Highly recommend.
Until Next Time!
