Now we're getting into the Zeo Ranger POPs! I knew I had to get the other Zeos thanks to the release of Zeo Ranger Red! So without further ado, let's take a look at the first one I'm going to review: the Sixth Ranger of Power Rangers Zeo, Zeo Ranger Gold!

Yes, it's a good-looking set. The colors all got shook up too, so there's no longer any Black Ranger, though there is this guy, the Gold Ranger! First for Power Rangers (not sure if it's the same case for the Sentai counterpart).

The story of the Gold Ranger really had us convinced that we were finally getting Brad Hawkins (Ryan Steele) as the new Sixth Ranger for Power Rangers Zeo. Of course, that turned out to be just voice acting, and the actual suit actor was a set of triplets. But the real twist was the return of Jason Lee Scott (Austin St. John)! Back then, that was huge. Jason hadn’t been seen since Season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Just like Tommy when he first appeared, Jason’s Sixth Ranger outfit is packed with unique designs that set him apart from the rest of the Zeo Rangers. As the Gold Ranger, he’s covered in gold armor that gives him a regal, commanding aesthetic — chest piece, arm bands, unique boots, and that distinctive helmet design. It all looks incredible, and Funko absolutely knocked it out of the park. They did a great job translating all those intricate details into POP form, which is impressive considering how busy the Gold Ranger’s design is.

The pose is fairly standard and doesn’t fully capture the flashy, complex stances Power Rangers are known for. Honestly, it’s not my favorite — the staff covers a good portion of his body. I think having his staff hand extended forward, like he’s pointing it at an enemy, would’ve been better to really showcase the figure. Still, it’s not a bad execution. The details on the staff are all there, and from what you can see of the Gold Ranger, the intricacies of the suit are still clear.

The name “Gold Ranger” should scream bright, vibrant, and loud — and this POP delivers. The gold pieces have a nice metallic shine, the paint is clean with no bleeding, and the matte black, white, and silver accents contrast beautifully against the dominant gold.

Speaking of original color, here is Gold Ranger next to the Red Ranger! What a difference!

The “original” Sixth Ranger ended up gaining more popularity in hindsight than Jason’s second run as a Ranger. Still, having the Gold Ranger standing next to the Green Ranger always makes for a great display.

Of course, there is Tommy's second sixth Ranger form: the White Ranger! Of course, I'm putting them next to the Gold Ranger.

While technically not a Black Ranger, with the secondary color being black, it makes Jason fit in next to Tommy, Zack, and Adam.

That's right, not a whole lot of Gold Rangers compared to Red. Would really want a Go-Onger (Hiroto Suto) as a POP.

I haven’t seen a ton of Gold Ranger merchandise over the years — Zeo didn’t get nearly as much love as the MMPR era. But thanks to nostalgia, we finally got this POP of Jason. Recommend? Yes. I had a small complaint about the pose, but I was mostly nitpicking. He looks great next to the other Rangers, my copy has no defects, and overall I’m very satisfied!
Until Next Time!
