Two Piccolos? Yes! Two orange Piccolo were gifted to me, and so here I am with another addition to my growing Dragonball POPs. They're not MIB, and honestly, I'm not complaining. For now, let's check these guys out and see their strengths! Let's go!

Standard box, so nothing really much to say. It's a Funko.com exclusive with a chase variant. I'm not complaining about the standard version, honestly.

Piccolo's new power up essentially buffs him up and gives him brand new colors (obviously, it makes him stronger too). It also makes his atanaes stick up... kind of like Super Saiyan hair? But other than those minor differences, Piccolo's core design remains the same. The strange musculature (his arms, for example), the pointy ears, the same style of clothing, all of that remains with this new form of the Namek. As far as the POP goes, it gets all of that right. The arm details, the clothing, wrinkled and strained, the aura that comes from Piccolo is even brooding out of this POP. Well done!

There's not much to his pose. Just Piccolo standing firm, looking ready to fight. I'd imagine the chase would be better since it has energy coming out of him.

I love the colors on this guy. As a fan of Piccolo for years, the Namek finally getting a power-up that can actually make him more noticeable to Saiyans, who are basically gods, this is something else! His outfit changes color, he gets a logo on his back (nice), his skin color also changes into this bright orange that mirrors the bright golden hair of the first version of the Super Saiyans. Everything is done well here so no complaints either.

The chase version of this most likely would look that much better. But I can appreciate this common's simple look, and since the POP is well done with sculpting and coloring, I'd say this meets the expectation I have for common POPs. I can definitely recommend this one, but if one is able to snag the chase, even better.

For the battle-damaged Orange Piccolo, the box is also standard. I don't believe there is a chase, so this one's pretty common.

Piccolo's flexing is all too appreciated with this POP!

Even after getting a power up, we all know that Piccolo is going to get a few bumps and bruises ... and maybe a torn arm here and there. This POP sticks with his clothes getting ripped up and some minor battle scars here and there. The sculpt details are consistent with the previous POP, so I'm pretty happy with that. With his shirt off, one can see the alien body musculature that the Nameks are known for. Funko did a fine job getting all the finer details here, so I am not complaining one bit!

Piccolo is in a fighting stance, ready to go at it again. Since this is based on the Super Hero movie, most likely it's going to be Cell Max that Piccolo is ready to pummel. Unfortunately, the fight didn't turn out very good for him, but it does spark up something in Gohan--as far as the POP, it's a good pose and sculpted well.

ree

Like Orange Piccolo POP #1707, this one also has the color scheme and it's done well. Of course, there are minor painted scratches and bruises to replicate the hits he's taken from fighting Cell. Everything else is done with the same care, so all in all, he looks good here, too.

ree

Right next to each other, one can see the consistency! The duo is well done, truth to be told.

ree

Hard to believe that this is the only other Piccolo I own, and I bought him some time back, too. Much like Vegeta, maybe it's time for me to start nabbing a few of his POPs, eh? I don't think he has too many POPs though.

ree

This is actually a possible lineup since Piccolo can still multiply himself. Then again, Beast Gohan is such a powerhouse that I don't think we'll need two Piccolos.

ree

While these are gifted POPs and they were free, I'd still recommend them and I wish one day I can get the chase of #1707! But if these are the only ones I'll get of Orange Piccolo, I'd say it's a good lot. Great details, colors are accurate, and all in all, they're fun to pose next to each other. Here's to hoping I get more Piccolos in the future!

Until Next Time!
