I told you! We're on a Power Ranger trend for the next few! Celebrating Tommy Oliver's many Ranger forms, we're starting with the least liked Power Ranger suit of his: Turbo Red! Cast aside opinions of how lame the Turbo Ranger suits are, and let's take in this POP, shall we?

I'm not sure how we got from the thinking of Zeo to Turbo because I'm not a big fan of the Turbo Rangers. Honestly, it's where I dropped off the Power Rangers. I was on board with the Ninja saga, Ninjor, and the Zeo... but after Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, I was done. But this is about the POP and this is celebrating Tommy Oliver's legacy, so let's move on.

While the Turbo suits aren't terrible, it's not exactly something I would consider the best look for Tommy and the Rangers overall. But honestly, it's not that bad at all. It features a variety of designs that complement the single dominant color (in Tommy's case, red), and the linings and details are all sculpted rather than painted, which is a nice touch. The helmet, in particular, features numerous details that pay homage to Tommy's "zord", the Lightning Cruiser, complete with its grill and "headlights". There really are a lot of details with this POP, and they're even noticeable as one observes the weapons, the suit, just overall, it looks great!

The pose they gave Tommy for Turbo Red isn't very action-type, but it does do the job for the collector to enjoy the work done on this POP. He's holding his weapons, standing neutral; the pose won't be the most dynamic, but overall, I don't believe it's detrimental to the POP at all. It's sculpted well, and we get to see the designs, the nuance, and appreciate the accuracy of the design of the Turbo Ranger (Kousoku Sentai Turboranger).

I love the red shade! It's a matted shade, but it's very bold. It works really well against the black lining, the silver, the black, and the white. All things considered, Turbo Red has a very simple color scheme, but it's executed well, so it looks good. No complaints, really.

I love how his blaster is also a car! For a suit that isn't well-loved from a very famous Power Ranger,

Tommy's Turbo Red form really has no chance next to his OG Green Ranger or its BOOM Studios version. But they do look nice next to each other.

While the White Ranger POP is a bit older, he's still a good contrast next to Turbo Red Tommy. How POP has improved over the years.

While it's not Tommy's most famous Ranger form, it is still one of his forms. As a POP, he's got all the sculpting, all the designs, and a well-executed paint job, so really, as a POP, it's great. I recommend it, for sure. Like the Turbo Rangers or not, the POP of Turbo Ranger Red is amazing.
Until Next Time!
