Funko POP: Spider-Man (Osborn Suit)

Another Spider-Man POP! The Spiderverse POP gallery is growing, ain't it? Well, here's another Spider-Man POP--Parker in ins Oscorp Suit! So how does this hold up as a POP? Let's check him out!

Part of the Beyond Amazing series that are Spider-Man-related POPs. I have a couple of them already! This one is a special gift also so the Beyond Amazing Collection is growing and growing. I know, I'm loved.

A bobblehead!

So the Osborn suit! What's the story? Well just from the surface level it sounds pretty lame. Parker got his behind handed to him by Vulture so Osborn gave him a new suit. It comes with a glider too. It doesn't sound great; the suit didn't look as good as Parker's other suits when I saw the artwork. But as a POP, man, the suit has a lot of good things going for it in Funko's hands. There are details here that you don't see in a lot of POPs, especially with the face. There are sculpted lines all over to represent the web lines--the spheres are all present, and I love the sculpted straps for the glider and the spider logo. The pose isn't anything dynamic for a Spider-Man pose but one can imagine he is on a glider--something I'm sure the Osborns are keen to make sure Spidey uses. Ya can't give the man a suit with your name on it and not have him use a signature family calling card, right?

The sculptwork on the back is quite striking.

The colors are pretty good as well. I like the less shiny and vibrant red they used to replicate the artwork. The blue is also not usual which plays off with the red. The one odd thing is the webbing on his mask doesn't carry over to the back. It's either a quality issue with mine or an artistic take for the POP since in the comics, the weblines do carry over to the back of Parker's head. I'm not bothered by it since it does give it a unique look on the front--though the back of his head looks a bit bald. Still, this area does its job. The colors are something to enjoy.

The mask is one of its selling points! I love the eyes! The opaque eyes, the sculpted Spidey eyes, these are all well done. Also, the way we can see his POP eyes through the plastic is unique. I have yet to see this in a POP!

Unique Spidey suits! The Big Time and Bug Eyes suit always stands out in uniqueness. When they get the other outfits in POP form, I'm going to talk about them for sure--if they release them, of course.

Yes, this is a win. Thank you to my two favorites for nabbing this for my bday! It is a great present and a surprise hitter! Probably one of my favorite Spidey POPs I got this year! Recommend? Yes. Don't let the premise of the suit from the comics deter you from grabbing a very good Spider-Man POP!

Until Next Time!
