Demon Slayer had a good year in 2025! They also had an amazing lineup of POPs, and this particular POP Plus featuring Tanjiro Kamado is one of them! So without further ado, let's check this one out, shall we?
Funny how I have a lot of these POPs. Some are not reviewed yet, obviously. But sheesh! I almost have this set complete.
Tanjiro had a lot of shining moments in Part I of the Infinity Castle arc. His breathing technique, now fully fire-based, delivered some truly awesome scenes—and this POP does its best to replicate one of those standout moments.
What makes POP Plus figures special is how they pack in extra details that set them apart from standard commons. For Tanjiro, that means sculpted flames emanating from his katana mid-technique. It's an amazing sight: the fire is all carefully sculpted to dance and swirl around him, capturing that desperate-yet-powerful vibe he carried throughout the movie.
Everything else is sculpted just fine too—his iconic hair, the Demon Slayer uniform, the katana—all perfectly detailed and beautifully complemented by the surrounding flames.
The pose is, of course, Tanjiro mid-execution of one of his deadly attacks. This sculpt captures the action scene beautifully: his katana held low in that powerful follow-through, the sculpted flames bursting and curling exactly as they would right after a fierce slash. It really conveys the intensity and momentum of the moment—like Tanjiro has just unleashed a devastating strike and is riding the momentum forward.
No complaints here; the dynamic energy comes through perfectly in the figure.
The paint job is done really well—and unlike a lot of Tanjiro POPs I've seen, this one leans heavily into red tones. There's a subtle dark red throughout his uniform that ties everything together beautifully and complements his red-tinted hair perfectly.
He also has the Demon Slayer mark on his forehead and that dramatic blood pouring down his face, which amps up the intensity—especially paired with his angry, determined expression. The flames dancing around him are made of translucent plastic in a mix of dark and bright orange, giving them a dynamic, fiery glow without overwhelming the figure.
Just a well-done piece in terms of colors—no major complaints here.
Fire and water! While Giyu is no POP Plus, he still looks like a strong contender alongside Tanjiro.
Yeah, Tengen looks a bit outmatched in terms of exhibition. Tengen is, of course, a common POP, so the fact that he has some effects going on is a compliment to him.
Muichiro and Tanjiro look amazing together. While Tanjiro's Fire Breathing Technique is louder and more vibrant with those bold, dancing orange-red flames, the tealish tint on Muichiro's Mist Breathing Technique is impossible to ignore—subtle, ethereal, and perfectly misty in that cool, flowing way.
Both figures have a ton going on visually, but Tanjiro's flames definitely steal the show with their intensity and volume. Muichiro's mist effect feels more restrained and elegant by comparison, which makes the pairing so striking: fire and mist side by side, complementary yet totally contrasting.
Yes, this Tanjiro POP Plus is a must-have for Demon Slayer fans (or anyone who likes standout figures). Even as a casual enjoyer of the series, Tanjiro's great moments and intense fire scenes really come through here. The dynamic pose, sculpted dancing flames, angry expression with the mark and blood, rich red tones—it all captures his Infinity Castle energy perfectly. The POP Plus extras make it feel special.
Highly recommend snagging it if you like the character or killer flame effects. One of the best Tanjiro figures out right now!
