GoodSmile: Final Fantasy Updates (Wonderfest 2026)

Yes, we are talking about GoodSmile x Final Fantasy statues today, folks! We have an update on the Fran statue that we were teased with some time ago, AND some other announcements that I didn't expect coming! I'm very excited to talk about these, and chances are, some of these will find their way to my collection. So let's go!

The viera from FFXII is a character that most people will consider within the top ranking hott FF gal. Honestly, she's one of my favorites, and she was one of the interesting characters from FFXII. Getting an updated and high quality statue of her is always a win! This one is coming in 2027, and I'm all for it! Been interested since they first announced her back in Smilefest 2025. Now we actually have a colored prototype in hand!

And then they announce Tidus! I wouldn't say I'm his biggest fan, but I am a big fan of the game he came from. That and I can relate. A statue of him in this caliber? Yeah, I'm down!

They will never release another FFX-2 Yuna in my lifetime but a classic Summoner Yuna is something I won't ever shy away from. Again, I wouldn't put Yuna high on the list of best FF gal, but she is within the top 10. Also, I love Final Fantasy X, so it's only fitting I'd jump at the chance of getting high-quality merchandise of her. Rikku, please?

Now, as for other non-GoodSmile 1/6-scale statues, some good ones were announced. Obvioulsy, I am not listing all of them, and this entire post is strictly Final Fantasy-related collectibles. Also, chances of me getting all of these are slim to none, but it's fun to look at them.

Playarts Shin, I believe? I don't have much faith on PAK, and honestly, the pricepoint is a bit much for what they offer (or don't). Still, their prototypes always look great, and this Tifa is no exception!

I used to collect Mini Trading Arts figures. Nowadays, their price point is a bit high for what they are, but trust me—I’ll still pick some up if they really appeal to me. That Tifa and Yuffie set… honestly, that entire Final Fantasy VII Rebirth line is calling my name.

As for the FFT figures, as much as I love that game, Delita, Chapter 2 Ramza, Agrias, and Gafgarion are the only ones I’m really interested in. If they ever release Thunder God Cid, it’s all over for me.

Well, that's about it for now. I'm sure I'll update things as soon as I get more updates. As I write this post, I do have something from GoodSmile that is related to Final Fantasy merchandise, but that will be for another day. For now, I'm pretty excited for the GoodSmile statues and I'm hoping we see other FF characters as well (TERRA!).
