Funko POP: Venom (Marvel Rivals) - With Chase
A chase variant?! Yes! I got lucky when I preordered this wave of Marvel Rivals POPs. Rather than getting the common Venom, I got the blue version! I'm going to be reviewing both, but for now, let's take a look at the chase version, shall we?
This wave is pretty small; then again, all waves of Marvel Rivals POPs are usually this small, so it's no surprise this time around we only have three POPs for us to collect.
It's hard not to gravitate to Venom's Marvel Vs Capcom appearance when you see this shade of blue on Brock. Marvel Rivals was smart to take that shade and give it to their version of Venom.
Okay! Time for the common version of this POP! The shade of black that Venom is known for the most! Albeit, he is occasionally blue, so the Chase variant is more than justified to say the least.

Marvel Rivals’ Venom continues the trend of the Mac Gargan/Scorpion-inspired look: the logo that resembles a real-world bug with its legs spread upward, and those big monster-clawed feet instead of the usual “boots.” Rivals Venom is also massive in size, so it’s easy to mistake the host for someone other than Eddie Brock. But this is definitely Brock, and my oh my — this POP captures all the distinct design Marvel Rivals gave him. He’s huge for a common POP and packs a lot of solid sculpt work. From the musculature to the wrinkles on his face that sell the expression, and that signature Venom smile with every tooth on full display — it’s a well-put-together figure with a lot of strengths in its presentation.
Venom isn’t pulling off any acrobatic moves or the kind of dynamic action you’d sometimes expect from him. Then again, pure intimidation has always been part of Venom’s style. Having him just stand there as a towering monster works really well, especially with all the detail and his oversized presence.
The colors on the common version are pretty straightforward — mostly black, with the white eyes, spider logo, and mouth providing the only real contrast. It’s cleanly painted and well executed, so no complaints there.
I was tempted to open the chase version, but alas, I did not.
Right next to my 'go-to' Venom POP, he is massive. That monstrous size of him really does make him stand out.
Venom Harry Osborn really looks tiny next to Rivals Venom.
Movie Venom and Luchador Venom don't fare any better when we are talking about size. Marvel Rivals Venom really is the giant.
Since the Chase version only differs in color from the common, I feel like I can judge both pretty easily. I’ve mentioned Venom’s size a few times already, and yes — that’s one of the biggest winning factors of this POP. Between the size, the sculpt, the colors, and the overall presentation, this one has a lot going for it. Another strong addition to my Venom collection. Thumbs up from me!
