Welcome, folks! Got ourselves another POP and this time, it was another Harley Quinn that I managed to snag during my hunt. Let's check her out, shall we?
I do like this look for Harley Quinn. It's an Apokolips version of the jester and I'm all down for it. Her outfit is both Harley Quinn-like and adds a bit of Darkseid's fashion statement. It's not a bad look since it still somewhat incorporates Harleen's color scheme and all that. As for the rest of the set? Well, running out of room for my Harley Quinn POP so I don't think can afford to get the others.
The design transferred well into POP form. I think Funko did a good job. The pose is very Harley Quinn, posing with that hyperactive charm of hers and leaning on her oversized mallet. She has a headgear that has the details and that wink is also something I do think is very Harley. The outfit itself is as accurate as can be to the comic book design and there isn't much for me to complain about in regards to the sculpting.
The color scheme is also well copied to the plastic form. The colors are bright and dark--the juxtapose of giving one of the most vibrant and off-the-wall characters with armor and darker coloring. The paint job is well done and there's nothing that really sticks out as a defect. I do think Funko did a fine job accurately getting the colors here.
The POP is based off this pose and it's a good replication.
That's a LOT of Harleys, eh? And that's not even all of them. All different versions. All taking on that Suicide Squad pigtail style.
POP: Harley Quins
With Harley's new set, I'd say this is the best one. Half of the Harleys are either costumes that already had a POP prior or two new costumes and this one, the Apokolips, is the one I'd pick without hesitation. For Harley fans, it's a pretty good catch. Well sculpted, accurate to the reference, well colored, and it's got an appeal. Definitely a recommend!
