It's beginning to look like it's Christmas! I know we're way past Halloween but Jack Skellington did decide to make Christmas his gig (and failed). That little act spawned a lot of merchandise and Funko POPs are some of the ones that came out. Let's go!
This is a really good set. If I was a bigger fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, I'd pick up a couple more.
Simple as he may be, there's plenty of good work put into Santa Jack. The fake beard looks pretty detailed and the fur on his hat and boots look pretty textured to give it that wool-fur look. His pose is pretty static but Jack is just standing to pose to show off his Holiday cheer. He has a nice expression that exudes a friendly vibe. I love that pumpkin too! It's got its own charm too. All in all, this POP looks amazing.
The colors are great in terms of the choice of red, black, and white. Although the red on his hat is a bit more off-red than the rest, they still look good. I love the different white to contrast Jack's face and his beard and the fur on his hat. There are some paint imperfections on his hat with the white bleeding through, but all in all, still good.
Well, one can see what holiday one is representing, right? I love the two of these side to side, by the way!
Aren't they a lovely pair? Santa Jack is happier, it seems.
I adore this POP. I love the happy holiday spirit Jack gives off and just the overall simplicity really makes it stand out. Is it a definitive Jack POP, I don't think I can properly say that but I'd say it's a win.
Until Next Time!
