Now, the Chase version of Vegito! A Super Saiyan Chase. When they announce a Saiyan character with an SSJ Chase POP, if I like that character, I HAVE to get that version. Luckily, we have ways to retrieve the chase other than hoping and feeling. I'll get into that. For now, let's review SSJ Vegito!

I absolutely love that orange backdrop for the boxes. A tradition in Dragonball POPs.

Putting an SSJ version as a chase variant is rough. It almost feels unfair because a lot of us want both the base and the Super Saiyan form. For me, Vegito’s Chase has a bit more to offer, so grabbing the SSJ version was a must. That said, SSJ Vegito is very similar to his base form. He has the same sculpt, same proportions, and everything that makes the base look good carries over nicely. I’m glad Funko made some meaningful changes for the Chase, though — they gave him the Spirit Sword and added the signature SSJ2-style electricity crackling all over his body. It’s a really nice touch that makes this Chase feel special. It doesn’t deviate too much from the original, but it changes just enough to feel like its own POP.

While the pose is very similar to the base Vegito, the Spirit Sword slightly alters his arm position. The added energy swirling around him also gives off a different kind of aura. Overall, he looks great!

The obvious upgrades — the blonde hair, green eyes, the changed energy effects, and the Spirit Sword — make color a big factor in this Chase variant. The coloring is well done with no glaring paint defects, and the color choices feel spot-on. A definite win.

And, yes, it's a glow-in-the-dark POP. While it does look good, I do wish they had placed that gimmick on Vegito's blonde hair and green eyes. Would've been a good look, for sure.

Add some elements, and Vegito's presence becomes even more intimidating. That's a lot of power oozing out of this fusion Saiyan!

Again, they look great together! You can see that it's mostly the same mold and the same sculpt with a few minor differences.

The difference in blonde coloring is a bit jarring, but it is two different fused characters.

It’s funny how we’ve gotten so many different Super Saiyan hair colors over the years. The classic gold/blonde will always be the most iconic.

He is no Gogeta, but Vegito is still a fan favorite. I swear a Super Saiyan Blue is for sure coming up in the near/far future.

This is a good POP. For Vegito fans, it’s a very solid iteration of the Potara-fused Goku and Vegeta. I’m usually not the biggest fan of Chase variants, but as long as they’re somewhat obtainable, I’ll go for the characters I really like. All in all, this is a definite win for Dragon Ball collectors. Until Next Time!
