This POP I've had for a long time. I wasn't planning on reviewing this guy until I completed the four, but I decided to just go for it. So with that said, let's take a look at the POP of Reed Richards from the MCU, shall we?

I like the box art. It is an homage to the movie's visual design. Of course, there are no graphics for other POPs in this wave, but it's pretty simple: we get the main four at the very least, plus Galactus and Surfer.

Like most MCU costumes, Mr. Fantastic’s suit is an updated take that still stays true to the source material. Of course, being the MCU, they added more texturing, extra layers, and other design elements to make it feel more modern and detailed. I wouldn’t call it a bad redesign at all, and I’m glad it translated so well into a POP.
All those elements are sculpted nicely, with Reed’s suit showing the proper depth and nuances from First Steps. I especially appreciate that they displayed his stretching powers with his right arm elongated, showing off that fantastic reach. Everything else gets the standard POP treatment — the hair and all the usual details. Overall, it’s a really good-looking POP in the design and sculpt department.

As I said, I really love the stretching arm. It lets Mr. Fantastic show off his powers without going too dynamic and breaking out of the standard POP mold. I do wish they had included some swappable arms or a similar gimmick. They did it with Thanos and his detachable arm, after all. Still, it’s a really good-looking pose overall.

The colors are pretty accurate, and the texturing on his suit adds a nice sense of depth. There aren’t many obvious paint defects, and the colors are sharp and clean overall. Reed even has his signature white streaks in his hair, so all in all, he looks really good. No complaints here.

It looks like Pedro Pascal, funny enough.

Rivals Dr. Doom against MCU Reed Richards is an odd mix. Still, Dr. Doom looks awesome in that style.

I'd like to think that the Spider-Man they are using here is Andrew Garfield in an alternate universe... or something.

While Tony Stark is a man of many accolades, his genius isn’t even remotely on the same level as Reed Richards. But obviously, I still prefer Iron Man over Mr. Fantastic.

It’s a decent POP. While I mainly got him to complete my Fantastic Four team, I do think he has merit on his own. That said, I doubt there are many dedicated Mr. Fantastic fans out there who would get his POP without wanting the rest of the team. Still, this one does a solid job representing the MCU version, and I happen to really like both this POP and First Steps.
Until Next Time!
