The Marvel Zombies POP line debuted on Funko around 2020 (from what I understand). This guy may be an older release, but I just picked up Zombie Norin Radd last year. I’m pretty excited to review him, so let’s not delay any further! Let’s take a look at the Marvel Zombies Silver Surfer POP, shall we?

The Wolverine and the Mysterio one looks interesting. Doubt I'll get into these this late in the game, but they are good-looking POPs—just a matter of when I run into them.

Not a bobblehead. Right? A Marvel POP that isn't a bobblehead?!

Guess his surfboard hit some rocks, eh?

Yes, this guy is not a bobblehead—and that’s immediately noticeable. Most Marvel POPs come with the bobblehead feature, but Silver Surfer breaks that mold. Why? Because Funko made the brilliant choice of having Norin hold his severed head up in the air. It’s a novel and unexpected twist, especially for a Marvel character, where bobbleheads are usually the norm.

As for the rest of Norin, the Herald of Galactus has a fairly simple design: a humanoid figure, nude (minus any explicit anatomy), lean, muscular, and usually gliding through space with an eerie sense of calm while riding his surfboard. For this undead version, Funko adds torn “flesh” details that give the design more layers. The exposed bones, the cracks across his cosmic body—it all creates a truly mortifying look. It’s honestly very impressive.

Surfer’s pose shows him maneuvering through space, his body swaying as he glides forward—likely explaining the rocks beneath him adding to the motion effect. The fact that he’s holding his oversized severed head up while surfing through space creates an absolutely awesome visual.

Like I mentioned earlier, Norin Radd has a fairly simple design. His colors, however—while simple on paper—are far from basic. He’s a being coated in silver cosmic metal, imbued with powers beyond human understanding. With that fully silver look, he naturally has a reflective quality, especially when imagined against the backdrop of space.

For his Zombie POP, he’s given a much dirtier and more damaged appearance, with green ooze seeping through his wounds. His exposed bones are fully on display, and all of these details are painted and colored impressively. It adds extra depth to an already striking color design.

What a pretty picture! And what a friendly guy this Norin Radd.

I'm sure this isn't the type of Herald Galactus is looking for. But, a Zombie Galactus POP? Wouldn't that be something?

You can definitely see the difference between a deranged, undead Silver Surfer next to a clean, fully sane one.

These are the only Marvel Zombie POPs I own. Again, if I see some down the line that fits my collection and the price isn't too high, I might snag 'em.

I love this guy. He was another gift from my special friend last year, and I’m very happy to have him. Definitely a 2025 win for sure, and I highly recommend him. He might be a bit hard to find in the wild, but if you do, you’ve got yourself a great-looking POP. He still resembles Silver Surfer—just more feral and unhinged—but it’s Norin Radd nonetheless. The pose alone won me over quickly. Awesome POP.

Until Next Time!
